The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education was recently honored as the 2013 Council of Urban Boards of Education’s Urban Board of Excellence. CMS school board members will discuss initiatives and programs the board is deploying within the district to make a difference for students. This session is an excellent opportunity for board members dealing with urban issues in both large and small school districts.
